Alembic Pharmaceuticals has received a tax demand of Rs. 1,34,25,990 and a penalty of Rs. 13,42,599 from the Patna East Division under the Central Goods and Service Tax Act for the financial year 2020-21, but plans to appeal the order as they believe the demand is unsustainable.
