On August 5, 2025, Uranium Energy Corp announced that its Sweetwater Uranium Complex has been designated as a transparency project under a federal initiative to expedite permitting for critical mineral projects, enhancing its operational potential in uranium production. The Sweetwater facility will be the largest dual-feed uranium processing site in the U.S., with a licensed capacity of 4.1 million pounds of uranium per year.
