On July 17, 2025, QuantumScape Corp announced an updated agreement with PowerCo SE, which involves PowerCo investing up to $130.7 million to develop their solid-state battery technology, bringing its total potential investment to $260.7 million. This amendment allows PowerCo to produce up to 85 gigawatt-hours of battery cells annually based on QuantumScape’s technology.
