On July 3, 2023, Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. has entered into a merger agreement with BEP Diamond Holdings Corp., with the latter eventually becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Patterson-UTI. Patterson-UTI will pay a total consideration of around 34.9 million shares of Patterson-UTI common stock and $370 million in cash. Completion of the transaction is subject to conditions such as regulatory approval.
