Paycom Software Inc.'s data was accessed by an unauthorized third party due to a vulnerability in a file transfer software provided by a vendor, Progress Software Corporation. This potentially compromised personally identifiable information of less than 0.4% of people stored by the Company during the year till December 31, 2022. The company has now patched the software and started an internal investigation with external experts.
