On March 4, 2025, Equus Total Return, Inc. sold its equity interest in Equus Energy, LLC for $1.25 million in cash and 27,500 shares of preferred stock, which can be redeemed under certain conditions. Equus Energy was formed in 2011 and held interests in 136 oil and gas wells across Texas and Oklahoma as of December 31, 2024.
