On May 12, 2025, Darling Ingredients Inc. announced a non-binding term sheet to create a joint venture with Tessenderlo Group NV, in which Darling will own 85% and Tessenderlo 15% to combine their collagen and gelatin businesses under a new company named Nextida TM, pending due diligence and regulatory approvals, with closure expected in 2026.
