Assured Guaranty Ltd has completed the agreement where it has transferred a major portion of its asset management business, excluding Assured Healthcare Partners LLC, to Sound Point Capital Management, L.P and Sound Point GP Parent, LLC. In a separate agreement, Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp. and Assured Guaranty Corp agreed to appoint Sound Point as their sole alternative credit manager and promised to invest a minimum of $1 billion in funds managed by Sound Point.
