Star Health and Allied Insurance has launched Indias first Braille insurance policy, Special Care Gold, catering to individuals with 40% or more disability, and aims to empower visually impaired individuals in the insurance sector; around 34 million people in India are visually impaired, leading to a significant productivity loss of INR 646 billion.
